- 1/2 stick butter, melted, & more for greasing pan
- 1 1/4 cups & 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- Serve with vanilla ice cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then grease a 3-quart baking dish with your butter.
Whisk 1 cup of sugar with flour and milk, then add in the 1 1/4 cup melted butter.
Make sure your blackberries are clean and dry.
Pour your batter into the 3-quart baking dish and then spread the blackberries through-out. I know what you’re thinking, do I need to put more batter on top and the answer is – NO. The blackberries will bake into the batter.
Now sprinkle 1/4 cup of sugar over the blackberries and batter.
Bake for 1 hour.
10 minutes before the cobbler is done, you will want to sprinkle the remain sugar over the top.
Once finished, it is best served warm with some cold vanilla ice cream!
